Approachable, entertaining, and with over 30 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, Julie Finch is the lawyer you never knew you needed. She has been in-house counsel for Honeywell, a former Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota, and a partner at both Hinshaw & Culbertson and Rider Bennett. Passionate about teaching entrepreneurs how to protect themselves legally, she founded Finch Law over 10 years ago with a focus on making law accessible to the serious entrepreneur.
She honed her teaching ability running the Mitchell Hamline Business Law Clinic, and as an Adjunct instructor and guest lecturer at the University of St. Catherine and the University of St. Thomas. Outside of work she competes with a feisty thoroughbred named Jackpot on an Equestrian Drill Team, writes fiction books, and falls asleep watching quilting videos. As a legal advocate for companies all over the world, Julie describes running a business like “herding cats,” but knows that with the right lasso and a good team of people, anything is possible.
